As Parliamentarians meet in Belmopan today at the National Assembly this morning’s session saw the debate on several issues primarily education. Former Minister of Education Francis Fonseca rose and listed several discrepancies in the way the current administration is operating in the Ministry of Education. Fonseca focused primarily on the provisions of laptops and tablets to students especially at this time where online schooling is required.
Patrick Faber responded citing Fonseca’s history in Government when he served as Minister of Education under the PUP term 1998 – 2008.
On the agenda for today’s House Meeting include the official retraction of the Equal Opportunities Bill as well as the Land Tax Amendment Bill, the Immigration Amendment Bill and the introduction of the General Revenue Supplementary Appropriation Bill.
