House of Representatives Moves to Fixed Monthly Meeting Schedule

Today’s sitting of the House of Representatives was the first to be held inside the refurbished National Assembly building. According to the Speaker, the upgraded facility now provides improved working conditions for parliamentarians, staff, and members of the media covering the proceedings.  During her remarks, Woods also announced that the House will now operate on a fixed monthly meeting schedule aimed at improving planning, attendance, and public awareness of parliamentary business.
