Belize Electricity Limited says that it has a vested interest in Belize’s energy needs for the future. Particularly, as the country shapes its energy policy and determines other environmentally-friendly, safe and cheaper ways to power the country, the company has already outlined its proposals for what is called distributive generation. According to Senior Counsel, Andrew Marshalleck, the chairman of the company, the determination of how much is paid is something that needs to be finalised.
This is part of the company’s plan to examine rooftop solar sources of power.
