The Immaculate Conception R.C School of Bullet Tree Falls today received a donation of two newly renovated student restrooms courtesy Westrac Limited in partnership with Pure Guard Oil Lubricants. Cayo Correspondent Elaine Berry was present at the handing over ceremony and has the story.
Elaine Berry, Cayo Correspondent: A handing over ceremony was held this morning at Immaculate Conception RC School along with their teachers and principals for two new renovated bathrooms. Westrac along with Pure Guard which is located in Spanish Lookout teamed up for the newly renovated bathrooms. Speaking to Love News Julian Theissen, sales and marketing manager for Westrac and Pure Guard told us about the assistance in helping the RC school in the renovation.
Julian Theissen, Sales and Marketing Manager, Westract and Pure Guard: “We received an email with the pictures and the condition that the facilities were here and obviously there are some standards they wanted to meet. At the time actually we said no because we had exceeded our budget on a previous project already, we were trying to help out somewhere else but I decided to contact some of our suppliers and we were really happily surprised when Pure Guard stepped in and said they would help us. So then after I had said no I contacted them back and said “Hey actually Pure Guard will work with us and we can help you with the facilities.” and we saw the pictures and we saw the conditions and so we were like this is definitely a project that’s worth doing. We’re very happy with the school, with how the facilities look and we gave out some backpacks, some supplies and we’re hoping that this shows a little bit of support to the teachers, to the school here and the community where education is a big focus in our community out reach at the company.”
We also spoke to the principal Rony Lloa who was very grateful with the assistance from Westrac and Pure Guard.
Rony Lloa, Principal, Immaculate Conception RC School: “Well we are very grateful to Westrac and Pure Guard primarily Mr.Julian who made the connection with us to Pure Guard in terms of getting the assistance that we needed to renovate the bathroom. The bathroom was at the top of priority list, we needed to make these adjustments to the bathroom, we needed to fix it up and get it ready so that the students are in a safe environment, a health environment when they come back to school. Words cannot express how grateful we are to be able to stand here today and feel very comfortable and confident that if our students come back next week we have a place where they could comfortably use the bathroom and it’s a very healthy and safe place for them.”
