Muktesh Pardishi, High Commissioner of India to Belize

“It’s on a partnership basis. The University of Belize, they had what you call a vocational training institute they want to upgrade into engineering department for which they require machinery, equipment, expertise. So the University of Belize will give us the space which they have in Belmopan or Belize City so that part is from the Government of Belize; India’s responsibility is to give equipment, create the lab, bring machinery and experts to train and to set up the department so you can say it’s a beautiful example of partnership.”

The keynote address was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister Patrick Faber who acknowledged the friendly relationship between Belize and India for over 30 years.
