Interdicted Police Constable to Stand Trial for Perverting Course of Justice

Tonight, interdicted Police Constable, 29-year-old, Herman Shaquille Ramos is back out on bail after he was committed to stand trial in the High Court of Belize next year. Ramos stands accused of perverting the course of justice, after taking a firearm from a taxi driver who had just discharged the weapon in public. At his preliminary inquiry in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, the Magistrate determined that he had a case to answer for and set the trial date for January 17, 2024. His old bail was revoked and he was granted new bail in the sum of two thousand dollars plus one surety of the same, which he met.
