Investigation into Teen’s Murder Reveals Possible Link to Past Killing
Travis Thompson – he is the teen was shot to death on Faber’s Road as he made his way home on bicycle. The investigation into his death is ongoing, and Police Commissioner Chester Williams has told the media that this killing may have stemmed to a murder some years ago.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “Prior to the murder there was a shooting within the vicinity and that shooting may have been what led to the subsequent murder of Mr.Thompson and this can trace all the way back to a previous murder a couple years ago we believe it had a lot to do with that. We do have suspects that we believe are involved but again it happened in the dark of night and it was raining heavily and so the police were not out as they would have and I guess the shooter took advantage of that opportunity. Not much people were out to have been able to see what took place and so getting the identity of the person who is responsible at this time is extremely difficult.”
Reporter: Was his case still before the courts? The one that occurred in Conch Shell Bay when he was bullied ?
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “Yes that matter is still before the court where Oliver Sutherland was charged in respect to an incident against him.”
18-year-old, Travis Thompson was killed on Monday night.
