Investigation Launched After Grenade Found in Corozal District

The Belize Defense Force and the Belize Police Department have launched an investigation into the discovery of a grenade in the Corozal District. The explosive device was discovered about three weeks ago in rural Corozal. It is believed that the grenade may have been the possession of one of the local gangs operating in the district. Yesterday, BDF Commandant, Brigadier General Azariel Loria, spoke to Love News about the incident and provided additional details.
