Investigation Launched: High-Powered Rifle Disappears from Belize Military Base

The Belize Defense Force and the Police have launched an investigation into the disappearance of a high-powered rifle from a military base in the Cayo District. According to reports, sometime over the weekend, an M4 Commando gun vanished from Camp Belizario. Love News understands that the weapon went missing whilst in the possession of the BDF’s stand-by unit. The security force is yet to issue an official release on the matter but, the BDF’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Leal did issue a pre-recorded statement to the media.

The gun reportedly was being held in the camp rifle rack, which is reportedly in the camp’s guard room.
