Investigation Underway in Home Fire Incident, Suspects Still at Large
Investigators are yet to determine the official cause of the blaze but say that they are working to establish what transpired. Henry says he was informed that one man was detained but today, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, stated that police are yet to identify any suspects. And despite surveillance footage, which captured the men entering the home, being posted to social media, Romero says the police are still trying to recover footage from the area.
ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Brian Henry, a BDF soldier reported that he left his house and went to work along with his wife. Thereafter, he received reports that his house was engulfed in flames. All the contents in the house were damaged and we are investigating at this time.”
Reporter: Sir, have the police managed to get their hands on this surveillance video?
ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “No investigators are checking the areas to see if there is any footage available.”
Reporter: “There is some footage on social media though, Sir have you been able to see that?
ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Those, we have seen those but we are working to see if we can find more in the area.”
