Investigation Underway: Woman Found Dead in Vehicle Fire in Cayo District

Police and firefighters are investigating the death of a young woman who lost her life last night in the Cayo District. Around nine o’clock, San Ignacio Police and fire personnel responded to reports of a vehicle fire on San Antonio Road. The blaze was extinguished and police found the charred remains of a woman inside. The body was later identified as 30-year-old Nathalie Gonzalez, whose family believes she may have claimed her own life. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, explained that police are looking into several angles including suicide.

Love News also spoke to Gonzalez’s father, Cesar, who explained that while he isn’t sure what led to his daughter’s death, he is deeply saddened by her lost.

 

Fire officials are tasked with determining what led to the blaze.
