And as for the leadership of the United Democratic Party, Faber says that he has not ruled out the consideration of one day leading the UDP.
Patrick Faber, Area Representative, Collet Division: “I made very clear from the onset and I do so now again there’s no disappointment there in fact it is one of the reasons why I made the decision that if I am not going to aspire I’m not going to get into the way of anybody who is trying to bring the party together and trying to unite us together. The Honorable Shyne Barrow aspires to do that so I am not going to get into the way of that. I have said that leadership is not for me at this time, I continue to try to work on myself as I’ve put it to make a better version of me for the people of my constituency, and also the people of this party, the people of the nation. I am as you know very much engaged in trying to finish my dissertation hoping that I could do that by December so I would not be in any state of readiness to contest a leadership convention. I have not ruled it out in the wider scheme of things although I’m feeling the age coming on very strongly I’m 45 I can come back at another time down the road if I so desire and if the people will so have me and so for me that’s not a big issue at all I have no interest in contending for the leadership at this time.”
