Is the BNTU contemplating a strike ?

There have been contradicting reports today about a decision to strike taken by the Belize National Teacher’s Union (BNTU). While the BNTU has not responded to our requests for confirmation, Minister of Education Francis Fonseca says he hopes it isn’t so. He told Love News that he felt that last Friday’s meeting with the union was done in good faith, and included positive dialogue.   

We’ll be following up with the union.
