There was a murder in the old capital over the weekend that has investigators of the Eastern Division South following leads into the incident. A man sat in a barber chair getting a hair cut and in that very same space the young man also known as Jaro, met his demise. It is a scary thought and Commander of the unit, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams explained what happened and where the investigation currently stands.
“On Saturday sometime around 5:30pm thereabout police received information of shots being fired at the corner of South Creek and Mohammed Ali Street. Upon responding they came across two male persons who had been shot, one George Young and the other Abraham Craig. This was right at the barber shop situated at the two streets. Both persons were transported to the KHMH where on arrival George Young was pronounced dead on arrival and Abraham Crain was admitted in a critical condition, he underwent surgery and is currently admitted in a critical but stable condition. From our investigation he was in the barber’s chair getting his hair cut when he was shot. We believe the motive is gang related at this time.”
