Authorities in the Cayo district discovered an ammunition cache last night. The items were found in an area at Barrio El Juda along the Benque Viejo border with Guatemala by a joint patrol unit consisting of members of the Belize Police Department’s Special Patrol Unit and Belize Defense Force. Among the times were a bullet proof vest, seventeen magazines, one extended magazine, a Roni conversion kit for a handgun, and around 250 rounds of ammunition of different calibers. No one was in the area at the time and the items were labelled as found property.
