Justice of the Peace Annual General Meeting in Belize City: A Historic Gathering for Nationwide Representation

If you’ve ever needed a document officiated, you’ll know the value of a Justice of the Peace. This volunteer service has over three thousand Belizeans around the country, and this weekend many of them will be gathering in Belize City for their Annual General Meeting. Adrian Madrid, National President, Justice of the Peace Association, stopped by Love Studios to speak on the work of the association and some of the difficulties JP’s have had to work through. He said that the upcoming AGM will be a historic one as it is scheduled to have the widest representation from JP’s countrywide.

Madrid says that politics has played a significant role in hindering the work of the JP Association, but things have been looking up since the change of administration back in 2020.
