23-year-old Kareem Franklyn is on remand for two counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm against two police officers. This morning, Franklyn, appeared before Senior Magistrate, Tricia Pitts-Anderson and was read the four charges. The charges stem from Saturday night when Franklyn reportedly fired upon Police Constables Joseph Sutherland and Stephen Choco. Due to the nature of the offenses, no plea was taken, and Franklyn was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until April 7. Police are looking for one more suspect in connection with this shooting incident.
