The Ministry of Finance announces that effective midnight tonight the pump prices of two fuel products will be adjusted. Premium gasoline will decrease by 59 cents taking the gallon price from $10.99 to $10.40.  Kerosene will decrease by 74 cents taking it from $7.36 to $6.62 per gallon. The prices for regular gasoline and diesel will go unchanged at $9.73 and $9.48 per gallon, respectively. According to the ministry, the price changes reflects the current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies. According to the press release from the Government of Belize they are monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely. They will also work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.
