Admissions at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital have been seeing a constant increase with today being the first day in weeks that the number of admissions has gone below twenty. The month of September, however, is seeing unprecedented numbers as they relate to the Covid-19 data on admissions at the KHMH. The hospital’s Chairman, Dr Andre Sosa was part of a group of health officials who led a press conference to present on the current situation report in Belize.
Dr Adrian Sosa is the Medical Director at the KHMHA and also a member of the medical advisory team for the Ministry of Helath. He too weighed in on the Covid-19 data as they relate to the KHMH, making a comparison to the total admissions of adult patients. He noted that while Covid-19 is at the forefront there are many other medical conditions that they are faced with.
