With the KHMH being the nucleus of the fight against COVID-19. Most persons who have tested positive are treated there, even under the most difficult circumstances. Putting in the double-shifts and having to constantly try to save lives puts a toll on those on the frontline. Those nurses, doctors and support staff can now access counseling services to help them navigate through this great challenge.
Dr. Andre Sosa, Chairman, KHMH: “We reached out to civil society and we were overwhelmed with lots of offers to provide counselling, psychological support and so on and that is ongoing now. We have also gotten assistance or offers of assistance from other autonomous entities like the PUC for example has been helping us as well to provide psychological counseling for our staff.”
