KHMH’s Chief Anesthesiologist Recovering from COVID-19

The Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) has seen several of its staff contracting Covid-19. The most recent is Nurse Lidia Blake who is the Chief Anesthesiologist. According to Chairman, Dr Andre Sosa, Nurse Blake is in recovery mode and several persons have stepped in to hold over.

Dr. Andre Sosa, Chairman, KHMH: “There are several nurse anesthetists working here at the KHMH so we do have staff to cover. Having said that though it is true that just like the rest of the country and indeed the city we have had quite a number of staff come down with COVID and others who have been exposed and who are out for observation. Basically they are in quarantine. I think last week we had a total of about thirty two persons out including persons diagnosed with COVID and others who are insolation because of having been exposed. I think that very few of those instances of people becoming sick occurred within the hospital itself but rather outside in the community.”

Nurse Blake is currently quarantined after testing positive last week.
