Ladyville Resident Reported Missing, Police Appeal for Information

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Ladyville resident, 52-year-old Francis Kerr. Reports are that Kerr has been missing since last December 2023. We spoke to members of his family who are from Ladyville earlier today, who said that they are hesitant to say he is missing since they know he has other relatives that he would visit from time to time. However, a concerned aunt who lives in the US was the one who made the official report to police. We spoke to the Chairman of Ladyville, Bernardo Bennett, who said that he knew Kerr personally and that his disappearance was alarming. Bennett said he knew Kerr was going through a lot of emotional stress after losing two of his loved ones.

Bernardo Bennett, Chairman, Ladyville: “I believed he has been deported from the United States I think about probably eight years ago and he was residing in Ladyville on Stork Street at a home for his mom. Recently he had some issues with the police and then later on I had observed him being in the village like he was having some mental issues but we would normally see him on a daily basis moving around the community and walking around but to say just pick up and go somewhere else and don’t return back to his home or Ladyville is kinda strange. So when Mr.Kerr returned form the United States he was a very hardworking person, out going and stuff always talking about his family. I know he lost his brother in a motor accident and then after he lost his mother so I believe after those two events you could see him kind of wasn’t the same and his intention when we discussed with him he had always wanted to return back to the United States where majority of his family are living. But like I said recently he ran into trouble with the law a few times but he was still moving around the community looking for work and talking to his relatives who are here but besides that it’s kinda strange that he just went missing.”

Kerr is described as being of Krio descent with dark complexion, standing six feet tall, and weighing around a hundred and twenty-five pounds. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to report it by calling 911, 922, or the nearest police station.
