Gerald Alexander Rhaburn, better known as Lord Rhaburn, is at home recovering from injuries sustained during a hit and run last Thursday. The 88-year-old legendary musician was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) with a cut to the nose and bleeding from the right ear. We tried reaching him earlier today, but we were told that he is no condition to speak to the media. Rhaburn, the Calypso King, had taken a taxi from Tropicana on Newtown Barracks to his Coney Drive home at around eleven o’clock on Thursday night. Upon arriving in front of his home, Rhaburn exited the gold Honda Odyssey van when a vehicle sped passed by heading towards Buttonwood Bay. The vehicle hit Rhaburn and damaged the door of the van, but failed to stop to render aid. Taxi driver, 30-year-old, Brandon Tillett, took Rhaburn to the hospital where he was treated and released. Love News understands that Police are yet to locate the vehicle and driver involved in this hit and run.
