Yesterday the Leo Bradley Library in Belize City celebrated its 25th anniversary. The library has played a large part in the lives of many adults, and is still doing its part to reach out to children. Currently, one of the projects they have embarked on is a collaboration with the Special Envoy to place free mini libraries around the country. The Acting Chief Librarian at the National Library Service, Lusio Castillo, told us of the importance of encouraging young children to read.
The library’s vision for the future is to have more computers and laptops available for students’ use, and also to teach them to spot fake information.
