Establishments in Punta Gorda that wish to acquire a liquor license are now required to have emergency exits. The Liquor Licensing Board has provided a window for applicants to have their exits installed. 

Establishments in Punta Gorda that wish to acquire a liquor license are now required to have emergency exits. The Liquor Licensing Board has provided a window for applicants to have their exits installed.  Toledo Correspondent Paul Mahung has the story.

Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Liquor License holders in Punta Gorda whose business place do not have an emergency exist door are granted extended time. In Toledo Liquor License Board’s first quarterly meeting on January 13 2020 Liquor License holders whose business place did not have an emergency exit door were granted a probationary period up to the ending of January 2020 to get one completed at their premises. Chairman of Toledo Liquor License Board Ivan Avilez told Love News that the deadline date has been extended to February 29 2020. Avilez commented that the exit emergency door is a major safety requirement and failure to comply with the deadline would result with the respective liquor license being withdrawn.”
