In speaking about corruption, opposition leader, Patrick Faber also spoke on pharmaceuticals and the lack of medication in public health hospitals.
Hon. Patrick Faber, Leader of the Opposition: “We call again on the government to listen to the healthcare professionals , to listen to our doctors and nurses from the region and from the KHMH and to allow for the financing and purchasing of pharmaceutical supplies that are needed to avoid the happenings at these various health institutions. The rendering of our doctors and nurses incapable of knowing how to treat whatever they’re finding in these hospitals because they simply do not have the medication. And we condemn wholesale the procurement practices of the administration because all we see are friends and cronies as I indicated in my independence day address becoming newly minted millionaires and later on when I speak on corruption I will go on further to show you how in fact many of these people who are getting rich off the pandemic are very closely related to the People’s United Party and I will go a far as to say very closely related to the Minister of Health himself. This my friends is a serious problem.”
