Over a hundred and thirty students have benefitted from the Love Foundation’s scholarship initiative. And thanks to the organization’s renewed partnership with the Angelus Press, dozens more will continue to receive financial support throughout their educational journey. Today, the organizations recommitted to supporting the nation’s youth through a series of collaborative partnerships. The venture coincided with the release of the Angelus Press’s 2025 planners, in which a portion of their sales goes toward the program. Managing Director of the Love Foundation Deborah Seawell-Erskine spoke about the importance of the partnership and encouraged others to give back to their communities.
Deborah Seawell Erskine, Managing Director, Love Foundation: “Since 2019 we have been partnering with Angelus Press where a portion of the proceeds comes to The Love Foundation and we provide educational assistance to young people throughout Belize. And so it’s a big deal for us because the more planners that are sold the more funds we have to assist young people. And there are many young people who come to us from time to time for different things. It may not be a full scholarship that they need but they may need graduation fees, they may need to buy books, they may need uniforms, they may need school supplies so that is where the funds from the proceeds of these agendas go. I ask that people support the agendas because they do send our children to school, they help them to go to school. People can reach out to us, people have reached out to us through our Facebook pages, our instagram page, directly at our office. So what we do is when people reach out to us we do our investigation because we have had instances in the past where people are really not genuine, I have to say that , but what we do is we have a process that we go through and we pay directly to the vendors so we don’t give money to people we pay the schools, we pay the suppliers, if it’s uniforms we get a receipt, we make sure that we pay for the uniforms directly so those are some of the things that we put in place to make sure that the monies go to exactly what they’re intended for.”

John Gillett, Operations Manager, Angelus Press: “We observe the good work of The Love Foundation and one day I reached out to Ms.Debbie Seawell and it was just a thought, listen how can we assist ? How can we collaborate ? And we spoke about a product that we have and I mentioned you know I believe this product can diversify itself and contribute mutually beneficially to the community, to The Love Foundation and the Angelus Press and here we are now approaching 2025 already have our stocks in and looking to run again and I expect us to have our biggest year of support honestly with this collaboration because the support early on has been very remarkable from the community.”
