Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Mahogany Chocolate Enterprise yesterday organized a tour of it’s chocolate making operation in Punta Gorda. During a brief ceremony before the tour welcome remarks were done by Mayor Ashton McKenzie.
Ashton McKenzie, Mayor of Punta Gorda: “I must say Mahogany Chocolate since their establishment here in Punta Gorda have no doubt contributed substantially to the branding of our town. The work that they do I believe gives substantial credence to the fact that they are a company that is about the people. Often times we’re referred to as the forgotten district and a host of other things but the work that they do is a real testament of the type of potential that we have here to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of our country and the work they do is very critical because of course they help with the business climate that occurs here in our town. They help to ensure that persons have economic opportunity and the opportunity to be employed.”
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Thereafter a small number of guests including some media representatives were taken on a guided tour of Mahogany Chocolate’s facilities and chocolate making process. At the event chocolate maker Luis Armando Choco of Mahogany Chocolate Enterprise Spoke to Love News.
