LPG companies still waiting on NGC

The other suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have also written to the National Gas Company about the same issue, that is, what will be the wholesale price of the product. Additionally, their attorney, Audrey Matura, also wrote to the NGC on their behalf.

The other suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have also written to the National Gas Company about the same issue, that is, what will be the wholesale price of the product. Additionally, their attorney, Audrey Matura, also wrote to the NGC on their behalf. The managing director of the NGC, Dr Gilbert Canton, responded to her yesterday via another letter. The letter stated that the NGC is waiting on government approval of a proposed price, as well as waiting for an approved date to begin operations. Dr Canton stated that once they receive the necessary approvals, they will engage the three LPG companies, namely Southern Choice Butane, Gas Tomza and Belize Western Energy Limited. Dr Canton also noted that it is the NGC’s responsibility to have sufficient inventory in the country for energy security. Currently, they have available 1.4 million gallons of LPG in inventory in Big Creek, Toledo District. We will have more on these issues from Dr Canton in tomorrow’s newscast.
