Man, accused by ex-girlfriend of attempted murder, gives his side of the story

Last night, we told you Ashlie Ruiz, a woman who claimed that the Police in San Ignacio were not listening to her cries for help.  She told our newsroom that he ex-boyfriend had thrown diesel on her and her three children and tried to set them on fire.  Since then she declares that she has been living in fear, and that the Police refuses to help her get a restraining order.  After the story aired, the ex-boyfriend, Avery Bahadur, reached out to our newsroom to give his side of the story.  While we are not in the business of getting involved in domestic disputes, we did find it fair to air his side of the story.

Bahadur went to explain that the three children that Ruiz referred are in the custody of the Ministry of Human Development.  He says the children were taken away when they found that she was the one who tried to set the fire.

We did reach out to the Police for verification, but our calls went unanswered.
