Lesbia Betancourt, a resident of an apartment at 35 Faber’s Road Extension, reported to the police that around 6 p.m. on May 17, 2015, her apartment was burglarized and all of its contents were stolen. The items, apart from household items, included 6 sheets of plywood and 16 pieces of lumber. They amounted to a total value of $4,716. Shortly after the burglary the police went to Martinez apartment and recovered an Acros brand refrigerator and some light fixtures which were two of the stolen items. Martinez said he saw the refrigerator and light fixtures in the back of the yard and he took them into his apartment because it appeared as if it was going to rain.
