Man Arrested with Loaded Firearm During Carnival Road March

A North Creek resident is serving his first night on remand after busted on Saturday during the Carnival Road March with a loaded 9 mm pistol containing 5 live rounds in its magazine.  37-year-old Leroy Ramsey was arraigned in court and appeared unrepresented as he was read two charges, one count of kept unlicensed firearm and one count of kept unlicensed ammunition.  Ramsey was accosted during the Carnival Road March when a resident alerted Police that there was a man brandishing a firearm.  Police responded and carried out a search of Ramsey on Vernon Street.  The search led Police to a loaded nine millimeter firearm.  Ramsey was unable to produce a license for the weapon.  Ramsey pleaded not guilty, and was denied bail.  He is expected back in court on November 13.
