Man Brutally Murdered in Orange Walk Town, Allegedly by Relatives

A man from northern Belize was brutally murdered last night allegedly by his own relatives. Forty-seven-year-old Jockey, Anthony Derras, was chopped and stabbed multiples time in Orange Walk Town by two of his nephews after an argument escalated to murder. Around 8 o’clock, Derras was attacked in front of his wife and kids after an altercation ensued between him and his nephews. The men apparently had a dispute at the People’s Stadium which led to an argument some hours after. Derras was severely injured and reportedly died on the spot. Police are yet to issue an official report and are yet to indicate if any charges will be levied.
