Man caught burglarizing home

36-year-old security guard,  Leon Duncan, a Ladyville resident, appeared before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson where he was arraigned on a single charge of burglary.  The charge is in connection with stealing items valued at almost $9,000.00 from Melvin Armstrong’s home.  Duncan pleaded not guilty to the charge and he was offered bail in the sum of $3,000 plus two sureties of $1,500.00.  According to reports, at around 12:30a.m., in the early morning of August 22, 2019, Armstrong came home and caught two men running out of his house. As a result, Armstrong set chase and caught up with one of them, later identified as Leon Duncan.  Thereafter, police were called in and arrested Duncan. The case was adjourned to October 29, 2019.
