The incident happened just after ten o’clock last night, a few yards away from the Roaring Creek Police sub-station. A 28 year old man of Roaring Creek Village is the latest murder victim in Cayo South. Information gathered at the scene last night reveal that sometime around 10:20 Timroy Neal was sitting in front of Lucky Bar and Restaurant situated at the foot of the new Roaring Creek Bridge when he was shot multiple times to the head and body. Love News spoke to the mother of the victim.
Avril Neal, Mother: “I just want to say that I had a phone call last night from one of my cousins and told me that my son got shot last night in Roaring Creek. He went to buy food for him and his girlfriend and that is when the gunman came from behind and probably shot him up multiple times; I don’t know or understand. This is my second son that I’ve lost to gun violence and Timroy didn’t deserve it because probably everyone will say he was a bad person but Timroy was a loving person. He had his two kids and his wife and he was a nice person but you don’t judge the book by the cover, probably everybody has their past and people can change and I don’t know what to say it just hurts and this brings back memories from my first son that they took his life. I raised all my kids them as a single mother in Roaring Creek, I moved from Roaring Creek 18 years ago and my son liked Ladyville so he came back to Roaring Creek and he stayed with my mom because he loved his grandmother, she passed away about a month ago and Timroy was a nice person; he laughed and talked to me, people say he doesn’t laugh and talk and he always looks miserable, he is a nice person. You don’t judge a book by the cover. “
Neal’s brother, Merkel Pitts, was also killed by gun violence in April 2016 in Ladyville Village, Belize District.
