Man Fined for Burglary and Assault in Ex-Girlfriend’s Home

Michael Jorgenson was hit with a high fine when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson.  Jorgenson was fined two thousand five hundred dollars after he had pleaded guilty to burglarizing the home of his ex-girlfriend and putting a knife at her throat.  According to our court reporter, Anita Nembhard, the accused wanted to change his guilty plea to not guilty, but there were many challenges encountered in the process.  Jorgenson’s attorney, Norman Rodriguez, explained that even the ex-girlfriend was prepared to withdraw the charges against his client.

21-year-old Jorgenson, a resident of LaCroix Boulevard, was also bounded, meaning that he should not be arrested, charged or convicted for any offense or he will have to pay the court an additional fine and or go to jail for six months.
