Man Granted Bail After Damaging Ex-Lover’s Property Worth Over $7,000

A man, who destroyed over seven thousand dollars of household items in his ex-lover’s home, was granted bail of two thousand dollars.  25-year-old, Karil Gentle, appeared in court today, and was told that he cannot live at the same home with the virtual complainant while the case is active; he must sign in weekly at the Hattiville  Police Station and he cannot be arrested and charged with any offenses whilst out on bail.  Gentle appeared before Senior Magistrate, Tricia  Pitts-Anderson  where he was read a single charge of damage to property.  The case stems from allegations that Gentle entered the home of ex, and destroyed some appliances and electronics in the home in Hattieville Village, Belize Disrict.  Gentle was additionally charged with one count of common assault for allegedly assaulting the woman.  Gentle pleaded not guilty with an explanation, but was told that since he says he is not guilty of the act, he need not explain until trial date.
