Harry Arzu, Stann Creek Correspondent: Wayne Wilford Mai pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter in the southern session of the Supreme Court here in Dangriga earlier today. This stems from a stabbing incident that occurred in Santa Cruz Village here in the Stann Creek district. On Sunday March 26 2017 Wayne Wilford Mai and Austin Savala of Bella Vista Village were socializing at Los Amigos Bar when an argument ensued between them and as a result Mai inflicted a single stab wound to the left chest of Savala who died from his injury. In the Supreme Court Trial Mai was represented by Arthur Saldivar while Sgt. Cordel Agustin investigated the incident. Sentencing is deferred until February 18.
