Man Pleads Guilty to Aggravated Burglary; Faces Sentencing for Breaking into Former Partner’s Home

Michael Jorgenson has pleaded guilty of breaking into the home of his former common-law-wife.  The 21-year-old resident of LaCroix Boulevard, Belize City appeared unrepresented before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson, and was read a single charge of aggravated burglary.  The incident stems from Thursday, May when Jorgenson broke into the woman’s home and held a knife to her throat.  Jorgenson has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison and will be sentenced on Friday
