Man Shot and Killed in Belize City; Police Investigate

A man was shot and killed in Belize City this afternoon. Twenty-six-year-old Steve Moss was riding a bicycle on Caesar Ridge Road when a vehicle drove up from behind him and someone from inside, opened fire. Reports are that as many as thirteen shots were fired. Police are investigating. Moss appears in our news archives having been charged for the 2017 murder of Delbert Anderson. In July 2020 he was acquitted of that charge after the prosecution submitted that there was no evidence against Moss after their main witness did not show up to testify. In 2022 Moss was charged for being a member of the South Side Gang (SSG).
