Meanwhile, another man was shot over the weekend and according to authorities, the incident may have been over car parts. Thirty-six-year-old Albert Vaccaro, a car dealer of Sandhill Village, told police that Dean Vaccaro entered his yard inquiring about vehicle parts. It was thereafter, an argument started between them and as a result, Albert got his licensed firearm and fired the single shot at Dean causing his injury. According to Assistant Superintendent Fitzroy Yearwood, investigators are looking into the incident further.
ASP. Fitzroy Yearwood, Public Relation Belize Police Department: “Sometime around 12:10 yesterday in Sandhill Village Albert Vacaro, a car dealer, reported that Dean Vacaro went to his home private property and was being a nuisance and was behaving in a boisterous behavior. He’s claiming that he asked Dean on several times to leave his property but Dean refused to do so. Dean became more aggressive he went for his licensed nine millimeter and is claiming that he fired a single shot trying to deter Dean from being so aggressive and he caused the injury to Dean who was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and is in a stable condition. What we also gathered is that the argument was allegedly over some vehicle parts that Dean believed he was entitled to.”
