Man Wanted for Brother’s Murder Captured in Toledo

Rafael Cal was nabbed by police officers in Punta Gorda Town last night after being sought in the murder investigation of his brother, Romano Cal. Officers in that jurisdiction worked into the night to capture the 55-year-old labourer of the Toledo District. The murder victim, Romano Cal, was the alcalde of Medina Bank Village, who had gotten into a misunderstanding with his brother when he was killed. Reports say when Police arrived at the crime scene on Sunday night, they found the alcalde’s body covered with a blanket and trash bags in a yard. Love News understands that immediately after, the brother, Rafael fled the area. A search ensued and with the assistance of residents, he was detained in Tambran Village late last night. In today’s budget debate, Area Representative for Toledo West, Oscar Requena expressed condolences and spoke on how the alcalde’s death has affected the community.

Oscar Requena, Toledo West Area Representative: “I express my condolences to the Alcalde, the family of the Alcalde, of Mr. Romano Cal in Medina Bank, who on Sunday was tragically murdered. He was the Alcalde of Medina Bank and a bus contractor with our ministry. So again, our deepest condolences to the family and to the community of Medina Bank.”
Alcalde Cal is survived by a wife and ten children.
