Manhunt Underway for Escaped Prisoners Brian Castillo and William Carabantes

Tonight, authorities are on a manhunt for two prisoners who managed to escape police custody. Love News understands that Brian Castillo and William Carabantes escaped during a transfer from the courthouse in Belmopan to the Belize Central Prison. Castillo had been on remand since 2021, for the murder of his common-law wife, Jennifer Archila and step-daughter Nitzia Catzim. The victims were killed on Sunday, November 21, 2021, and Castillo had absconded to Guatemala with his biological son before he was apprehended and brought back to Belize. He was in court for the continuation of his proceedings, and his case was adjourned until November 28. Meanwhile, Carabantes was indicted on multiple counts of rape, and has a trial in progress for one of those counts. Police are urging anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts to report it by calling 911, 922, or the nearest police station.////
