Mark King could be facing criminal charges

Former UDP Parliamentarian Mark King seems to have found himself in an entanglement of sorts and is possibly facing criminal charges.  Perhaps such a situation could happen to just anyone, but last night it reportedly happened to King.

Former UDP Parliamentarian Mark King seems to have found himself in an entanglement of sorts and is possibly facing criminal charges.  Perhaps such a situation could happen to just anyone, but last night it reportedly happened to King.  The allegation is that King pulled a gun on his girlfriend, Selena Urias after he overheard her telling her friends that she was just using him and that she owns him.  King had gone to the home of 28-year-old Emil Lisbey in the Belama area to pick up Urias just after midnight last night.  When he couldn’t reach Urias or Lisbey on their phones, he sat on Lisbey’s steps and that was when he overheard the conversation.  This sent King in a tailspin and by midday today three recorded messages sent from King to Lisbey began circulating.  The following is the second of the three recordings where King says his girlfriend deserves to die because he was disrespected.

Mark King, Former UDP Parliamentarian: “Yow noh tell me a f*ck about disrespectful bad. If you’re woman mi di disrespect f*ckin me or you front ah everybody else and I sat down on your stairs for f*ckin twenty five minutes. I called you, I called her, none ah unu ansa unu f*ckin phone and at the end of the day I come in and listen to her di talk that she noh f*ckin want me, she use me , she f*ckin own me and a whole pile ah madar*ss then you f*ckin do the maths. I love you mi bwai but I wah tell you what after what dah f*ckin b*tch did tonight she deserve fi f*ckin dead. Done.”

As we noted, the allegation is that King pulled a gun on Urias and fired a shot in the air prior to leaving the area.  Both King and Urias have since denied the incident ever happened but according to accounts of persons in the area, it did occur.  In this second recording, King denies pulling his firearm and says that he will face no charges because he has connections.

Mark King, Former UDP Parliamentarian: “I wah apologize to you but at di end of the day honestly I noh pull no gun ina your house. I had my gun by my side and I had my gun in my hand like I would normally do everywhere I go with no bullet in the chamber or no magazine. So at the end of the day like I seh if you listen to the statement I made when you [unintelligible] I just seh she deserve fi dead, that is it. At the end of the day you could go tell any police that there is no charges, why ? Because me neva point wah gun ata nobody, me neva haul gun ata nobody. At the end of the day like I seh I respect you but fi I listen out deh fi my woman di tell unu them [expletive] deh and all ah unu di laugh and talk all ah unu eena it. So guess what none ah unu no right fi even text me ah wah block all ah unu r*ss. Listen do unu weh unu f*ckin want me got my connections, me know how fi do my sh*ts. F*ck unu. At di end ah di day none ah unu got my back because if unu mi know she di seh deh r*ss while I di call you and you noh ansa and I di call she and I deh pan di step di listen to weh she di seh to unu and unu di laugh boss unu dah part of it to. Noh f*ck with me right now honestly. Do not f*ck with me and honestly like I tell unu I dah di last trouble unu want eena unu f*ckin family. I love unu but noh f*ck with me.”

Love News understands that Police had canvassed the area but no expended shells were found.  No one was injured in this incident.  This is not the first time that King has displayed his anger and wrath.  Back in 2013 King was charged with aggravated assault, use of threatening words, and disorderly conduct following a casino brawl in northern Belize.  King had publicly apologized for the incident which occurred when he was a junior Government Minister.
