Market Burglary Suspects Remanded: Disclosure Not Ready for Accused Pair

The two men charged for the burglary of the Michael Finnegan Market appeared in court today hoping to receive bail but were told they would have to go back to prison. Edward Saldano and Shemaud Nunez appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court where they learned that their disclosure was not ready. The men were further remanded to the Belize Central Prison until September 5. Allegations against them are that on May 26, the men broke into the market and stole over seven hundred dollars’ worth of cash and personal items from Martin Santos.
