This morning there were reports that the Michael Finnegan Market in Belize City was going to be closed as of midday. Upon making checks at the market our newsroom found that there was no official closure of the market; vendors were simply not opening their stalls. Reporter Naim Borges has the details.
The Belize City Council issued a press release stating that the Michael Finnegan Market will remain open on a day to day basis. However, they encourage customers to be mindful of the 25 people gathering guidelines set in place by the Ministry of Health. They noted that if there are any changes the public will be informed.
