Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador will be visiting several Central American countries on a working tour scheduled for May. Lopez Obrador will visit El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize. The president reiterated his position that to stop the migration of Central Americans to the United States, which has reached record numbers, it is necessary to solve the underlying causes, such as poverty and lack of employment. Agriculture Minister Jose Mai spoke of the importance on the president’s visit.
TThe president said that he would visit Cuba as well.
