MIDH to Address Pothole-Plagued Highways in Belize City

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) is hoping to repair several portions of the Phillip Goldson and George Price Highways within Belize City limits. For months, motorists have been disturbed over the conditions of the roads that remain riddled with potholes. The situation affects traffic flow during rush hours, and causes damages to commuter vehicles. This week, the ministry noted that it has heard the cries of residents and is moving to address the issues. Chief Engineer Evondale Moody spoke about the plans in the pipeline to rehabilitate the affected areas and other sections of the highways.

Moody added that the ministry continues to maintain roadways countrywide.
