Migrant Hubs Held Down South

The Embassy of the United States in Belize, USAID and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) hosted two mobile migrant hubs in Toledo District. These hubs are designed to provide information and services to migrants for safe and orderly migration. Charge d’ Affaires Keith Gilges attended the hub event in San Antonio Village. Minister of Rural Transformation, Oscar Requena was also in attendance. The hubs offer a single location for information and services benefitting migrants and Belizean citizens alike. This includes helping them through the process of getting their foreign national documents, work permits, birth certificates and other documents. Soon, there will be hubs in other parts of the country including the northern districts, San Pedro Town, Dangriga and Belize City.
