Minister of Transport and National Emergency Management, Edmund Castro, today met with a high level delegation consisting of members of the House of Representatives of Japan and other officials at the Edward Laing Building in Belize City. The meeting was aimed towards strengthening the bilateral relations. The team discussed the plans for World Expo 2025 to be held in Osaka/Kansai, Japan. They also made site visits to determine the usefulness and effectiveness of vehicles which were donated to the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), the National Fire Service and the Belize Police Department. The delegation also met with Prime Minister Dean Barrow and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred Elrington.
